Kousik Sankar R is the founder of Svasthiya Technologies Private Limited, a healthcare startup to address the inefficiencies in the current healthcare ecosystem. He was previously with Philips and NXP Semiconductors, HP, and Cisco. With a master's degree in Elec Engg from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, he has over 24 years of experience in the embedded software domain. He has worked on (HDD) Blu-ray/DVD players/recorders In Europe and India, and worked on HDD-DVD solutions for OEMs like Sony and Bang & Olufsen. With 7 patents filed and multiple IEEE publications, he is an IEEE Senior Member and is part of the IEEE Technical Program Committee for the ICCE @ Las Vegas, ICCE Berlin, GCCE etc. He is also the co-founder of IEEE CTSoc, Bangalore chapter and the co-founder/vice-chair of IEEE RAS, Bangalore chapter. He is also an invited member and the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Virtual and Augmented Realities and Displays technical stream of the global IEEE CTSoc.
