Dr. Lucia Billeci

Lucia Billeci was born in Pisa, in 1982. She graduated in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Pisa in 2007 with 110/110 cum laude. In 2011 she obtained the PhD in Automation, Robotics and Bioengineering at the University of Pisa. She is a Researcher at the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the National Research Council of Italy (IFC-CNR). Her research interests consist in the implementation and application of biomedical signal processing techniques for the study of neurobiological and physiological aspects of diseases, with a particular focus on neurodevelopmental, neurological and cardiovascular disorders. She is also interested in the application of wearable solutions for non-invasive monitoring of physiological and pathological situations. She is the author of more than 70 papers in scientific journal. Dr. Billeci’s awards and honors include the Computer in Cardiology/PhysioNet Challenge 2013 “Noninvasive Fetal ECG”.
